Awarded at the 5th Vesalius Continuum, University of Antwerp, Belgium, this prize celebrates contributions exploring the intersections of anatomy, art, the history of medicine, and cultural representation of the body.
Named in honor of Andreas Vesalius (1514–1564), the pioneering anatomist and physician whose seminal work De humani corporis fabrica or On the Fabric of the Human Body, transformed the study of anatomy and laid the foundations of modern medical science, this prize recognizes outstanding scholarship in the health humanities.
