The Anatomia Italiana Northern Europe Program offers a symposium-like experience, visiting renowned anatomy exhibitions, rare medical book collections, and the world’s greatest works of art depicting human anatomy as a science.
The Northern Europe Program visits the Vrolik Musuem of Human Anatomy at the University of Amsterdam, The Old Operating Theatre of London, as well as Rembrandt’s Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Tulp in The Hague. Travel to Brussels, the birthplace of Andreas Vesalius, to pay homage to the Father of Modern Human Anatomy.
The richness of The Northern Europe Program lies with the manner in which it connects the Italian Renaissance with the Dutch Masters, and also how it incorporates free time for personal and cultural exploration.
Leisure time opportunities abound: from fish and chips in a London pub for dinner, to Belgium waffles and chocolate for breakfast in Brussels! The opportunities are seemingly endless!
